Hello!

Iglesia Ni Cristo

is a church located in the Philippines

About Me

The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) was preached by Brother Felix Y. Manalo, its first Executive Minister, and was registered in the Philippines on July 27, 1914.

From its first local congregation in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila, the Church quickly spread across the islands of Visayas and Mindanao in the Philippines.

When Brother Felix Manalo passed away on April 12, 1963, the Iglesia Ni Cristo had already established ecclesiastical districts in more than half of all the provinces in the country. In 1968, the Iglesia Ni Cristo, led by Brother Eraño G. Manalo, the Executive Minister then, successively established the first two local congregations outside the Philippines—Honolulu, Hawaii, and San Francisco, California in the USA. Hence, it began the Church’s expansion in the Far West and eventually around the world.

Before Brother Eraño passed away on August 31, 2009, the Iglesia Ni Cristo had been spreading continuously in different parts of the world.Through the leadership of its present Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Iglesia Ni Cristo continues to progress and succeed. Its membership has been constantly increasing. From September 2009 to July 2019 alone, the Iglesia Ni Cristo built almost 1,000 houses of worship in the Philippines and more than 100 outside the country, thus strengthening the Church’s presence in other countries worldwide. Thousands of ministers and Iglesia Ni Cristo officers are being added worldwide, as well.

On July 21, 2014, the Iglesia Ni Cristo inaugurated the Philippine Arena, currently the world’s “largest mixed-use indoor theatre.” This megastructure that sits in Ciudad de Victoria, Bocaue, Bulacan was the venue of the Church’s centennial celebration held on July 27, 2014, which was attended by hundreds of thousands of its members from all over the world.

Under the stewardship of its Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, and through the help and guidance of the Almighty God, is unceasing in its socio-civic projects such as My Fellowmen, My Brethren programs, Lingap sa Mamamayan (Aid to Humanity) which benefit millions of people worldwide.

Brother Glicerio Santos, Jr. the INC General Auditor administers the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation, a non-stock, non-profit, and non-political organization charitable arm of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.

In the past five years, the Church has established at least 41 eco-farming projects in the Philippines, Africa, United States, and here in Canada.

The scope of the FYM Foundation projects is significant, yet the leaders of the Church do not underestimate the commitment that is required for these initiatives to be successful. Even amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The INC is now established in 158 countries and territories, and its members belong to 147 races and nationalities worldwide. Its members continue to be exhorted to live according to the biblical teachings the Church upholds, which include respect for the law.
